Our Marching Band is an all inclusive sector of our Band Department. Participation in the Mt. Spokane Wildcat Marching Band is optional, it is an extracurricular activity after school and on the weekends for the Fall Season. |

- AUGUST to NOVEMBER -
Marching Band season begins with Band Camp from 9-4pm for the first three weeks of August. Marching Band is not a class during the day, but an extra-curricular activity, and September will bring 3-6pm after school and 9-4pm Saturday rehearsals, as well as attendance for football game half-time shows and pep band on Thursdays or Fridays from 6-9:30pm. October is the competition season, with almost every weekend at an event. The Season will finish with a banquet and awards in November. All dates can be found in the "Calendar" tab. |
BAND CAMP During the Wildcat Marching Band Camp, students will memorize show music, as well as learn the basics of field marching. Band Camp lasts for two weeks in mid-August before the start of the school year.

COMPETITION SEASONMarching Competition Season include most to all weekends in the month of October. Itineraries involving our competition trips throughout the season will be posted in the BAND app, see the "Social Media" tab.

What will I need for band camp and practices?
- Your instrument and supplies (reeds, valve oil, etc) - Your music (preferably in a binder) with a pencil - Athletic shoes/socks and comfortable weather appropriate clothing - WATER - Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to shade your face - Your Dot-Sheet and Lanyard provided on the first day of learning drill. - A ready-to-work attitude What do I need to bring to football games? - Your instrument and supplies (reeds, valve oil, etc) - Weather-appropriate clothing - your marching uniform is kept at the school, but please come prepared with black socks and form-fitting pants/shirt (you will be wearing these clothes under your uniform) - A jacket, blanket, hat, gloves, etc - it gets cold when the sun goes down - A ready-to-perform attitude How do I know if we are still having an after school rehearsal? Please come prepared to school every Tuesday and Thursday as if we are having practice. Even if it is raining, still expect to be going outside for rehearsing. Occasionally, other weather factors can prevent us from being outside such as lightning and poor air quality. Always check the BAND app for last minute updates. |
