MSHS PERCUSSION ENSEMBLES

SYMPHONIC PERCUSSION

Symphonic Percussion accompanies our Symphonic Band during concerts and festivals. Symphonic Percussion is a class during the school day, separate from the Symphonic Band class, and will need to attend Symphonic Band Rehearsals found in the "Calendar" tab.

​WIND ENSEMBLE PERCUSSION

Wind Ensemble Percussion accompanies our Wind Ensemble during concerts and festivals. Wind Ensemble Percussion is a class during the school day, separate from our Wind Ensemble class, and will need to attend Wind Ensemble Rehearsals found in the "Calendar" tab.

​- SEPTEMBER   to   JUNE -

Symphonic Percussion and Wind Ensemble Percussion are classes during the school year with placement based on auditions in the Spring.  Classes run regularly throughout the academic school year. All dates for Symphonic concerts and Wind Ensemble performances can be found in the "Calendar" tab. Admission fees for concerts is five dollars.

BASELINE/PIT

Baseline and Pit both accompany our award winning Hornline in our Marching Band Program.
Each entail regular attendance to all rehearsals and competitions throughout the marching season.

- AUGUST   to   MID-NOVEMBER -
​​Marching Band season begins with Band Camp from 9-4pm for the first three weeks of August. September will bring 3-6pm after school and 9-4pm Saturday rehearsals, as well as attendance for football game half-time shows and pep band on Thursdays or Fridays from 6-9:30pm. October is the competition season, with almost every weekend at an event. The Season will finish with a banquet and awards in November.
